A matched pair of miniature banded agate geode halves, hand-collected and polished from the Minieh shoreline in North Lebanon. Each half displays crisp octagonal concentric banding in gray, white, and cream — a geometric formation prized by collectors.

What makes this pair exceptional for its size is the sharpness of the banding. The concentric rings are not soft or gradient — they are clean, angular, and symmetrical, forming nearly perfect octagonal patterns that radiate outward from a translucent chalcedony center. Banded agate of this clarity typically comes from Mexico, Botswana, or Brazil; Lebanese specimens at this quality remain almost unknown on the international market.

Collected from the Corniche el-Mina shoreline, the nodule was cut by hand and both interior faces polished to a mirror gloss. The natural exterior crust — a warm tan calcareous coating — has been preserved on the back of each half, showing the stone as it was found on the shore. This contrast between raw and polished is part of the piece's appeal: you see what the earth hid, and you see what revealed it.

Why matched miniature pairs are collectible: A small cut geode in one half is a curiosity. A matched pair — two halves from the same nodule showing mirror patterns — is a collector's piece. Most small geodes are sold as single halves to maximize per-piece revenue; keeping the pair together is uncommon, and pairs of this geometric quality at this size point are genuinely difficult to source. The octagonal banding here rewards close inspection under magnification.

Display: At 3.8 cm each, these halves sit comfortably on a small shelf, windowsill, or desk. They pair naturally as bookends for a small set, on either side of a paperweight, or as display objects flanking a photograph. They also transport easily — collector-ready as a gift.

Care: Wipe with a soft dry cloth. Cool water rinse if needed. Avoid abrasive contact with the polished faces. The exterior crust is natural and should not be cleaned with chemicals — water and a soft brush only.

Shipping: Ships from Tripoli, Lebanon within 3 business days, insured and tracked. Worldwide delivery 7–21 business days. Both halves wrapped separately in acid-free tissue inside a padded gift-ready box.

Authenticity: Ships with a numbered certificate of origin signed by the CedarAgate founder, documenting collection location, date gathered, and geological classification.
